On March 7, 2026, a public welfare tree-planting exchange and themed activity was held at the Guangdong (Zhaoqing) Large-scale Industrial Agglomeration Area.

More than 100 participants took part, including representatives from Jinsanjiang (Zhaoqing) Silicon Material Co., Ltd. (JSJ Silicon Materials), the Zhaoqing Municipal Social Work Department, various social organizations, industry associations and chambers of commerce, as well as delegates from multiple enterprise Party organizations. Together they planted 330 Hong Kong orchid trees (Bauhinia × blakeana, known as 宫粉紫荆 in Chinese), contributing fresh vitality and beautiful color to the Green and Beautiful Guangdong ecological construction efforts.

The Hong Kong orchid tree is a classic flowering species in South China, prized for its dense foliage and graceful, vivid pink-purple blossoms. When these 330 trees grow into a continuous grove, they will form a spectacular springtime display—branches laden with flowers like clouds of color—creating a layered, picturesque sea of blooms that will greatly enhance the ecological appearance of the industrial area and bring lively charm to the surrounding environment.

Significance of the Activity This collective tree-planting effort highlights practical action for ecological improvement in emerging industrial zones. By bringing together government departments, social organizations, industry associations, and enterprises, it strengthens cross-sector collaboration for afforestation and environmental protection. The activity also showcases corporate social responsibility—especially JSJ’s longstanding commitment as a National Green Factory—to integrate sustainability into its full business cycle and contribute meaningfully to the long-term ecological quality of the region and beyond.
